Kristi Olson
CEO and Partner
Ms. Olson has coordinated the development of 22 senior housing communities throughout her career including the construction, financing, marketing and managing of a multitude of different types of care and housing units for senior adults. In the year 2008 Keystone Communities was listed in the “Top 25 Assisted Living Companies” in the MN Business Journal.
Ms. Olson has a Business Administration and Marketing Degree. She studied for her Masters at the University of Minnesota in Business. She is a Certified Public Housing Manager and is a certified and licensed HUD Housing Manager, she has her Assisted Living Federation of America’s Certification in Sales and Marketing. Ms. Olson is active in the American Management Association, serves on the Government Affairs Steering Committee for the State of Minnesota, is a board member of Care Providers of Minnesota, the Christian Stewardship Association and is certified in organizational leadership.
Keystone Communities has approximately 200 employees and is continuing to grow and expand. Since its beginning Keystone has grown to a company in excess of $80,000,000.

Castle Ridge Care Center
Skilled Nursing Care
Castle Ridge Care Center in Eden Prairie opened and from 1989-2001 CRCC was the heaviest case-mix nursing care facility in the state of Minnesota with deficiency free surveys from the Minnesota department of health.
1984
Edendale Retirement Residence
HUD 202, Section 8
Edendale opened to provide subsidized housing for very low-income affordable housing for older adults on very fixed incomes.
1986
The Manor House
Assisted Living
This location offered assisted living to frail seniors and memory care residents. The Manor House was one of the first assisted living centers in the state of Minnesota and also one of the pioneers of the assisted living facilities accepting alternative care and elderly waivers.

Blaine Courts
Independent Retirement Living
Ms. Olson worked with the city in planning, building, marketing and staffing this housing facility in Blaine. It opened 100% fully leased and remains full today with a long waiting list.

The Evergreens of Earle Brown Farms
Assisted Living
Ms. Olson worked with the owners to develop, lease, operate and manage this assisted living complex.
1993
The Evergreens of Fargo
Assisted Living
Ms. Olson worked with the owners to lease, operate and manage the Evergreens of Fargo, it was licensed as a Basic Care Facility of ND.
1994
White Bear Cottages
Independent Cottage-style apartments for seniors
Ms. Olson coordinated this development and set up the management and marketing program for the White Bear Cottage and opened the 90 units on time, under budget and 100% occupied.

The Cottage of Annandale
Independent Cottage-style apartments for seniors
Ms. Olson coordinated the management and marketing program for the Cottages of Annandale.

Rembrandt Retirement Community of Edina
Ms. Olson supervised and coordinated the ministry and marketing to the entire system of facilities in Edina.
1995
Scandia Shores
Congregate Retirement Community
Ms. Olson supervised the development, and coordinated the financing, construction, marketing and managing of Scandia Shores, a 108 unit senior complex in Shoreview. It was opened 100% leased and was built on time and under-budget.
1996
New Harmony
Sub-Acute Care Center
Ms. Olson invited Elim Homes to partner. The two organizations entered into a joint venture to purchase and manage New Harmony Care Center as a sub-acute care facility in St. Paul.
1997
WestRidge Retirement Community
Congregate Care Retirement Community
Ms. Olson developed, oversaw the construction and marketing of this 106 unit congregate care complex. It was opened fully leased, on time and under budget.
1998
Castle Ridge Care Center
Skilled Nursing Home Remodel and Reconstruction
Ms. Olson worked with a team of experts to create better space and flow for the residents.
2000
Cloverleaf Courts
Independent Retirement Living With Services
Ms. Olson negotiated a contract with the city of Blaine to develop, market, operate and manage a 102 unit independent living facility. It opened fully leased, on time and under budget.

Mainstreet Village Retirement Community
Mainstreet Office complex
Mainstreet Assisted Living
Ms. Olson spearheaded this major redevelopment in the city of Richfield just off of 494 and Lyndale. It was a mixed use development incorporating a 40,000 square foot office complex, a 130 unit congregate care retirement community and also a 31 unit assisted living unit. It opened fully leased, on time, and under budget.
Mainstreet Village as an overall development won the “2002 Grand Assisted Living Designed Use Award” for the National Development of the Year award for Mixed Use Commercial/Residential complex. Mainstreet Village Apartments, Office and Assisted Living was featured in “Nation’s Building News,”, and in the “Commercial Builders Magazine.”

Keystone of Faribault
Assisted Living/Memory Care
Keystone of Faribault is a 62 unit apartment complex featuring assisted living and memory care for the elderly. It was awarded the Assisted Living – Designer of the Year in 2004. Keystone of Faribault also received a 100% deficiency free survey from the Minnesota Department of Health.

Keystone of Prior Lake
Independent Living/Assisted Living/Memory Care
Keystone of Prior Lake is a 107 unit community nestled in the heart of Prior Lake just off of county road 13. It opened on time, under budget and It is fully occupied. Keystone of Prior Lake received a 100% deficiency free survey from the MN Department of Heal. It was named “Business of the Year” for assisted living in 2007.

Keystone of Eagan
Independent Living/Assisted Living/Memory Care
Ms. Olson along with the team at Keystone worked with the city of Eagan to create the new gateway in Eagan. This gateway has as its cornerstone the Keystone of Eagan Community, located on the corner of highway 13 and Silverbell Road. It shows a commanding presence from the highway with its beautiful clocktower and meticulous landscaping showing a natural pedestrian use and popular urban appeal. This facility has the three lifestyle options; independent living, assisted living and memory care. It was opened on time, under budget, and is currently 100% fully occupied and received a 100% deficiency free survey from the MN Department of Health.

Keystone of Mankato
Independent Living/Assisted Living/Memory Care
Keystone of Mankato is a three story community offering independent living, assisted living and memory care. Just on the northeast side of Mankato proper and conveniently located next to the River Hills Mall. This community was built on time, under budget and is 100% fully leased. It received a 100% deficiency free survey from the MN Department of Health.
