John Larson - Director of Marketing
John is the Director of Activities and Marketing at Keystone Communities of Mankato. John has dedicated the last 13 years as an Activities Director/Assistant serving local senior living and long-term care facilities. He was born in New Ulm, MN but spent most of his growing up years in his hometown of Hanska, MN. He lives in the country just outside of Mankato. He enjoys the outdoors, playing piano, traveling, spending time with his Family and Friends and his dog Sadie.
John comes to us with years of experience in serving seniors of all levels of care. He has dedicated his career in providing quality recreational opportunities that enhance the social, physical, mental and spiritual needs of those Keystone of Mankato serves. He is a nationally certified Activity Director through (NCCAP) the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals and is a member of MnSWAP, Minnesota Statewide Association of Activity Professionals. John looks forward to answering any questions you may have regarding Keystone Communities of Mankato.
Michael Grunden - Chef Manager
Michael is the Chef Manager at Keystone Communities of Mankato. He has nine years of experience in the food industry, working the majority of his career with the elderly. He was born and raised in Tracy, Minnesota.
Michael graduated from South Central College in North Mankato, MN with an Associate’s Degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Cooking. After graduating college he was a Chef for senior housing communities in Mankato and the Twin Cities.
Michael has always enjoyed working with the elderly. His out-going personality and friendliness brings warmth to the dining room and Keystone Communities. Michael works with each resident to accommodate their dietary needs and ensures that they feel right at home.
Michael lives in Mankato with his wife Stacy and their dog Bella.
Steve Frederick - Maintenance Director
Steve has been with Keystone Communities of Mankato since December 2006. He has been in the maintenance field for over 15 years. Steve has a contractors license, and a 2nd class C Engineer license. He has built a home from the ground up and remodeled several homes. Steve enjoys spending time with friends and family, ATV's, motorcycles, and campfires.
Diane Zander - RN Administrator
Diane Zander is the RN Administrator at Keystone Communities of Mankato. She was born and raised in the Twin Cities, and moved to Janesville, MN 13 years ago when she married her husband Dan.
Diane graduated from St.Mary's Junior College 30 years ago, and has spent the last 25 years in the Long Term Care field. She was Assistant Director of Nursing for the largest nursing home in the state for 10 years before moving to the mankato area. Diane has spent the last 12 years in the Assisted Living field.
Diane has always had a passion to work with the Gereatric population, and she has been active in the Immanuel St. Joseph Hospice program for the past 7 years. Her positive attitude and compassionate nature make her an asset to Keystone Communities.
Diane lives in Janesville with her husband Dan and dog "Buddy". They have a daughter Kelsey who attends Minnesota State University Mankato.
Kellie Venzke - Assistant RN Administrator
Kellie Venzke has been an R.N. for 24 years. She comes to Keystone with a wide range of experience, including Hospice, home health and behavioral nursing. Kellie has two sons Cody 23, and Tad 20.
She resides in St Peter, and enjoys riding horses and motorcycles, and being outdoors.
